Azure Foundation Starter
A governed Azure platform foundation, as code, that you own. Fixed scope, fixed price, with a clear handover.
This is the control plane: the governance skeleton, set up right, as code you own. It is the frame of the house, not the finished, wired house. There are no subscriptions and no networking yet. You can see governance take shape; the next step makes it runnable for production.
What you get
The control-plane setup, as code. No subscriptions or networking yet.
- Structure
- A six-group management structure: platform, landing zones (with corp and online beneath), sandbox, and decommissioned.
- Policies
- Two starter guardrails enforced as code. Standard examples: only approved regions, and a mandatory cost tag on every resource group.
- Environments
- The structure to hold them, set up and ready. It starts empty: no subscriptions are vended at this step.
- Networking
- Not included at this step. Networking arrives with Azure Platform Build.
- Pipelines
- The Terraform repo is yours, with CI/CD pipelines added, tested, and running. Changes apply through the pipeline, ready for your team to scale further.
- Handover
- The Terraform repo, a one-page runbook, and a walkthrough, all yours.
